Hi Runners, I enjoy very much reading through your short stories and comments. I do see a great enthusiasm in what you are doing despite your are not fast (quote “Aya Al-Jalamdeh”).
Please allow me to add something you may wish to have but probably don’t: [1] looking at your 1/2-Marathon race in Aquaba 2010 you guys and gals should be “at least” 30min faster for your age, [2] looking at one of your pictures I think to have seeing bad negligence in taking care of your feet, [3] and last but least (sorry most important) I see few of you having not a proper running style. This is mostly hindering you in improving your running.
Otherwise, the spirit is here that caries you further. But based on my experience, this will unfortunately only last during your KA’s time. Most will dropout later unless you can improve technique, style, posture, physics in a way that convinces you and motivates you to go on Life Long injury free.
A last point – you don’t have a true Running Coach? Uch, that is bad for such a great School.
Please take my word as a point of reflection – keep on Running and see you at Dead-Sea Marathon. :)

  14. Carlos Abellanosa says:

Thank you very much EC for your comments, we definitely will take care on that; mainly for the running coach. See you in Dead Sea Marathon.

  15. ec says:

Just let me know if there is anything I can do ;)

  16. ec says:

Carlos, sorry again, pls send me your mobile per eMail if you don’t mind and I’ll call you on issue mentioned above.

  17. Carlos Abellanosa says:

I would like to know to whom I’m talking with firstly. Come on, be brave.

  18. ec says:

Here my “brave” attempt to tell you all in 2 sentences ;)

I am a Coach and Mentor in the private sector and have a strong professional background in running (25 years). I live and operate out of Jordan to serve the region but I am not a Jordanian.

  19. Carlos Abellanosa says:

I see, it is really impressive! Ok, the post about D2R will be uploaded soon, I believe it is what you were looking for on Sunday to criticize, so keep watching and reading the blog. Good luck.

  20. ec says:

Hi, I am aware of the time of your two teams and I am happy to see them among the first 5. Still, there is room for big improvements.
Reason? [1] Read my post from on March 6. and [2] look at the age differences between ICS and your team.
Don’t get me wrong, despite my critical view I am not marginalizing your effort. Still there is lots of room for improvements.
And, only if we allow “constructive criticism” to happen we then can grow – inside and outside.
